- BMW Group Canada presents performance models for today and the future at the Canadian International Auto Show. -

At the Canadian International Auto Show, BMW Group Canada reinforced how it is shaping the future of the premium mobility landscape by debuting two performance vehicles, one hybrid-electric glimpse into the future of sporty driving, and another limited edition, ultra-performance model.

Jose Casas, Senior Exterior Designer, BMW M and BMW i, presented the BMW Vision M NEXT, a vehicle offering a foretaste of the BMW M brand’s electrified future, and which places the focus squarely on the actively engaged driver.

The unique combination of intelligent all-wheel drive BMW xDrive and cutting-edge BMW eDrive technology makes for sustainable driving pleasure in yet another BMW model, the new BMW X3 xDrive30e. The popular Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) now features a plug-in hybrid drive and power transmission to all four wheels, offering exciting versatility and a purely electric driving experience, as well as outstandingly low fuel consumption and emissions.

The newest addition to the M8 family, the BMW M8 Gran CoupΓ©, rides on a chassis and body which is 231 mm longer, 35.5 mm wider, and 73.6 mm taller with a wheelbase increased by 200 mm. This adds extra stability, comfort and rear interior space without affecting agility, and allows drivers to share uncompromised luxury and near-supercar levels of performance with family and friends.
BMW Group Canada’s presence at the Canadian International Auto Show brought performance and electrification together, illustrating how the German automaker’s product portfolio is ready to meet the needs of Canadians now and in the future.
